Earlier this year, U.S. News & World Report announced that the 2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid was their choice for "Best Hybrid SUV" in their "2017 Best Cars for Families" awards. The awards recognize vehicles that offer the features demanded by modern families, and the editors particularly commended the Highlander Hybrid for that way that the advanced rearview camera and parking systems assist in making parking a less challenging task.
To choose their winners, U.S. News & World Report examined more than 200 new cars, SUVs and minivans, taking into account key factors like professional reviews, reliability and safety ratings, seating and cargo volume data as well as family-friendly features. For each of the 18 categories, the vehicle that received the highest overall score was declared the winner in its class.
